Some think Social Security is major problem for the united states for all the kids now in america, while others think that the program is doing fine and with a couple of small renovations it will continue to run smoothly. Social Security is causing a huge Budget Deficit that is putting the nation further into debt. Social Security is a program that will give retired people enough money to keep on living without work. Some look at this program as very benefical because it is putting money away from peoples hard earn money to set up a fund for these people as they get old. Others think that even though it would be nice to have a retirement plan, the cost are to high and these people firmly believe that we have to stop this program.
My perspective on this subject is that this problem with the insecurity of Social Security is because the working middle and lower classes are not willing to give up enough money to taxes. The only way that I think Social Security can work is if the taxes on people of the nation's earning goes up to cover the cost of social security. Barack Obama belives that we need to change the tax policies that have been running this country for the past years because it is benefiting the wealthy more than the people who actually need it to get by like the middle and lower classes. I also do not think this problem can be avoided raising the age of social security because if we have to raise the age of how long people must work i think that the country will not stay strong. If we keep raising this age for social security soon enough the people will be dead before they have to finish working. Thats why we need to rethink as a country what to do with the problem that social security is causing in the nation to stop our country from digging an even bigger hole into debt.
