'Tough woman' cop hailed Fort Hood hero

This article explains kimberly munleys heroics at the horrible fort hood shooting. She was described by the people who know her best as a protecter and has always been that kind of person. She once stopped 2 robbers from breaking into her house. Kimberly was first on the site at the fort hood shootings and she shot down the gunman Nidal Malik. She was praised for her quick response and she suffered minor injuries. Many at the site prayed for her fast recovery and thanked her for her heroics.

I think this is a great story about a very strong women. This just shows that she is meant to protect beacuse even the people who knew her best were not surprised she is such a great help because she is always the protecter. Mulney should be respected because she stopped a really bad situation from becoming a truely horrific scene. Fort hood will always be know beacuse it is the biggest killing at an american base and Kimberly Munley should always be recognized as saving the day.

Ida kills 91 in El Salvador, heads for U.S. Gulf Coast

Hurricane Ida has killed 91 by mudslides and flooding so far passing by El Salvador. Although many of the cities of the gulf coast have been warned New Orleans is not one. This huricane is expected to lose some power if it hits the gulf coast going from a catagory 1 hurricane to a tropical storm. Even though this isnt a big hurricane it still has potetial for alot of damage. It is calculated that the coast of the Yacatan Peninsula will rise 4 to 5 feet which could cause a bunch of damage.

This hurricane i hope will downgrade in a threat to the gulf coast. The effect of hurricanes on this region is terrible with all the fear you have to live with. The houses on the coast which may suffer flooding and water problems with the rain and rising of the water level of the gulf will almost have no way of stopping this problem. I dont think i will ever live in one of these high risk areas because you will never know what is coming up next and you always have to keep an eye on this problem.

Pakistan suicide bombing kills mayor, 11 others

This article tells about a Pakistan suicide bomber who was a member of the taliban killed 12 in all. One of the men who was killed was the mayor. He was bombed because he changed sides favoring the taliban because of disagreements on his strategies. CNN was informed that many attempts to kill the mayor but failed. The taliban said that anyone who interferes with them will be targeted by suicide bombers. Of the casualities was one young girl and 5 young men.

I think that this is a terrible act that shows how out of control they are in Pakistan. Just because the mayor disagreed with this group he was killed and many others were also killed. That means that the government is not in control at all and taliban is running the country. I think that something should be done to eliminate the problem for these people living in pakistan.

Dead wrong: Man attends own funeral after mix-up over body's ID

This article tells a story of a man who went to his own funeral. The body of the car crash was wrongly identified by his family members. This mans funeral was schedueled for the same day as the day of the dead. When this man heard word of his own funeral he startled many of his family members and few tried to jump out of the window of the funeral home.

I think this story can be looked at as being just a funny mismatch but some people may not think its so funny. Its sad the family of the real victim and it scared many of the people attending the funeral even enough to jump out of the window running. I think the man should of just called the funeral home or members of his family because i would also have to agree it would be creepy to see the man of the funeral your attending.

Landing a job like getting into Harvard

This article really shows the reader how hard it will be to get a job for certain unemployed people that are looking for a job. The article explains that 2.4 million jobs are open now and that is not enough jobs for our country. The article shows how hard it would be for the 30 million people that are unemployed and the ones who have to settle for part time work. He relates this 8 percent chance to the chance of getting into Harvard University.

I think that this article is great for showing the people of the united States how scary this unemployment problem is. It really puts the problem into something i could relate to like how hard it would be to get into harvard university. Its scary for me to read this because soon i will be hunting for a job and i hope its not as hard as it is now.

Suspect Nidal Malik Hasan in stable condition after Fort Hood killings

This article tells about Nidal Malik, a phychiatrist, opened fire at a american fort called Fort Hood. He killed one civialian and 12 american soldiers who were on there way to Iraq or Afganistan. No reasons why Malik would have done this finding no evidence at his apartment nearby or by family or friends. He was shown on video camera in the morning of the shooting getting his normal coffee and hashbrowns. Malik suffered multiple gun shot wounds and is in custody.

This rampage by Nidal Malik is strange because his last job was working at a american medical center were he swore to help these people he killed on thursday. This was a very tradgic display of violence that shocked many. President Obama called the act a tragic outburst of violence. His family did not see the attack coming they are very shocked and feel great pain for anyone lost during the shooting. So we don't know the reasons Malik would do such a thing.
